Day 1

Woke up to the most epic line up I have ever seen, unfortunately the swell was small. Anyway after all the travelling we decide to surf. We are pleasantly surprised, small but fun.

Decide to leave for another island, three hour boat trip. Fun waves, surf till dark. Boy's are totally stoked and it's only the start.

Day 2

Swell has jumped over night. The first thing I see is these perfect right handers peeling down the point. Captain John decides to circumnavigate the island to make sure there is no better waves around the other side. After 1 hour and 30 minutes we decide the best are right where we were. Surf epic waves all day, get to try out most of my boards. Surf till I can't move. Swell continues to build.

Captain John decides to head back to day one location (who knows where?) as he feels the swell should have picked up there too. Arrive at day one location just before dark, swell has lifted but not much. Anyway boys get in one hour before dark but the potential is definitely there. Get back on the boat and one is treated with an awesome meal from Chef Mick, boys have a few beers and look forward to day three.

Day 3

Day 3 swell has not picked up overnight. Waves are small but very good. I surfed most of the day. That afternoon we head off to the next spot, not sure where. Start feeling sick, Mick the cook says it's dehydration, I'm not sure. That night is worse, puking and crapping all night.

Day 4

Did not sleep last night have absolutely no energy and feel terrible. Belinda gives me some much needed medication. Spend entire day in bed while the other guys surf first and then fished. Definitely my worst day on the Crossing.

Day 5

Awake feeling like new, back to normal. Surf fish bowls all day very fun but lacking intensity, nevertheless great to be back in the water and healthy. End up going fishing in the evening but no luck. Returned to the Indies Trader with no fish and mick was not happy.

Day 6

Head back to where we were as the swell had lifted. Hope it is big enough, as I was sick the day the boys surfed there. Unfortunately the swell was not big enough and we returned to the other place for the afternoon session. End up being the best day yet. Very fun but still lacks intensity. Hope for more next day.

Day 7

Much the same as day six. Boys are very anxious as swell reports not looking too good. Meanwhile surf fun small waves.

Day 8

Swell has lifted to 3ft and boys are hungry to surf. Have a full day of surfing and mucking about. Get ready for an overnight trip to a new spot where Captain John thinks will be a swell magnet. Boys look forward to more swell.

Day 9

Awake to very small waves, Captain John decides to hang around for a day to refuel and pick up necessities. Boys surf very small left hander. Captain john decides to wait another day in anticipation that the swell will lift overnight. Boys are hoping.

Day 10

Still small. We decide to head back to the previous place as this is the only real swell magnet around the area. Swell charts indicate that swell will arrive the day we exit the Indies Trader. Boys are having lots of fun but still not having intense waves. Nevertheless life could be a lot worse.

Day 11

Returned to the previous spot. Waves fun but still small however bigger than anywhere else. Boys surfed all day and confess that this is the place to be when there is not much swell around. That night we watch "There's Something About Mary" for the third time. Almost know the lines off by heart.

Day 12

Headed to the spot we were at on day 2. Need a wave that will be different. Captain John reconfirmed the swell report that it is lifting the day we leave. Boys not too bummed as we've still had a lot of fun and surfed epic waves.

Day 13

This area is perfect, swell has lifted and boys are stoked. This is a great way to end the trip. We all realise that the dream trip is coming to an end. Put more hours in the water this day than any other day. Waves remain perfect all day. We surf ourselves into a coma.

Day 14

Very sad to be leaving.
