In March 1999,
Quiksilver launched a refitted Indies
Trader on a voyage of discovery - the
Quiksilver Crossing. Her mission was
threefold: to explore for surf; to
document the state of the coral reefs
for Reef Check, an international
monitoring, management and educational
program; and to have empathy and respect
for the local cultures and customs
encountered on the voyage.
