The Quiksilver Crossing hits Cocoa Beach, FL

On May 30, The Quiksilver Crossing pulled into Sunset Marina (Cocoa Beach, FL.), where we would be based for the next week. Local interest was in full effect as the public poured down onto the dock with plenty of questions for the crew. Questions such as, "What the hell is this thing?" and "Is this the same Quiksilver boat in all of the magazines?"

June 1 brought a new day of touring as well as a VIP cruise out into the open ocean. This cruise was "retailer" based, and featured local accounts chosen by the legendary Bob Rohmann.

The next day was spent at the dock with much more of the general public coming down to check out the boat. That evening we had a party at the Sunrise Marina and screened Timmy Turner's "Second Thoughts". About 150 people showed, and a D.J. cranked out southern favorites as the sun set.

The next couple of days were spent dockside, due to the fact that the waves were "toe high." The Quiksilver Crossing had arrangements to park just outside of Sebastian Inlet (surf break) for the Surf Shop Challenge Contest as well as the prestigious King of the Groms contest. But since the waves were so small, the boat stayed at the Sunrise Marina and gave tours of the boat.
